Tilda ready to go on a journey

For over a month my husband suffered from atriumfibrillation and this morning he needed a reset (cardioversion) in hospital. I was so happy when he phoned after 2 hours that I could come to get him back. He is feeling good again and we hope that will be so for a long time!

In March next year I go on holiday to Portugal with my mother, her sister (who is only 10 years older than me), and my daughter. Next month my aunt has her birthday, so I thought this is an appropriate card to send to her.

Papers are Marianne Design, Tilda is cut with nestabilities Labels seven and coloured with copics. I made some pearls on her hat and belt with the Perlen Pen. The clasps of the suitcases are coloured with the clear Spica pen. All papers are inked with Cat's Eyes (velvet). Flowers are punched with the EK Success retro flower, wild orchid crafts and roses which I won at Menscardsworld. Leaves are punched with Mc Gill pine punch. Lace is bought on the market and I used some pink dew drops. The enjoy ticket is a clear stamp (name forgotten).

I will enter the following challenges:

Magnolia Down Under: All aboard (travel theme)
Wild Orchid Challenge: Pastels
Totally Tilda: Pink & Pearls
Creative Card Crew: Let's punch it
Incy Wincy: Lace & Pearls
Simon Says: 'Punch Em'
A Spoon Full of Sugar: Lets Get Punchy
Paper Pretties: Square cards
CRAFT Challenge: Monotone
Sketch and Stash: Sketch (new stamp)
Hodge Podge: Monochromatic
Thanks for popping in and I hope you enjoyed your visit and that you'll come back and see me real soon.

New Challenge at Fairy Fun Fridays - Candy Wrapper - DT card

It's time again for a new biweekly challenge at Fairy Fun Friday and this time the challenge is called Candy Wrapper.....this means that we should like to see you using something which has to do with candy. I decided to alter a package of chewing gum.
I measured the package, cut DP (which is from Abbey Road) and scored the folding lines with my Scorpal. All papers are inked with Cat's Eyes' Robin's Egg. At the front I used Roocat with heart which is for sale here and I cut it with nestabilities Labels Eight. Flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.
I wrapped the package and stuck it on the right side leaving one side of the ribbon underneath the package. Around the chewing gum there is also some ribbon so you can pull it upwards. I put doublesided foam under the small Labels Eight to left some space for the ticket. On the left side another Labels Eight on which you can write your sentiment. I added a piece of ribbon with staples. Flowers are made with a Success flower punch and the leaves with the McGill pine punch. The heart of the flower is a pearl made with the Perlen Pen. At the right corner a Quickutz photocorner die.

A close-up with the chewing gum:
This is the back side. I used again the Quickutz photocorner die and embossed it with my dotted Cuttlebug folder. For the green cardstock at the top I used Martha Stewart's doily lace punch.

These are the copics which I used to colour that sweet Roocat.

I hope this gave you some inspiration to join this fun challenge.
If you want to see some more ideas, you must take a look at the
Fairy Fun Friday's challenge blog to see what marvellous creations my Fairy girlfriends have made.

Recently I made such an easel and I liked the balloons on it. The papers are from a paperpack of Making Memories from the beginning of my crafter's career. The swirl is made with a Crealies stencil and the ribbon is from my stash.

Papers (distressed) are K&Company, the digi is coloured (as always) with my Copics, cut with Nestabilities Labels Seven and distressed with Cat's Eyes Roussillon. I did the same with the sentiment which is from a Stampology set. The border at the left is a Fiskars punch. Flowers are from my stash.

Tilda has a wonderful day

Tilda has a wonderful day and here in the Netherlands we're also having a nice and sunny Sunday. The sky is completely cloudless and so wonderfully blue.
I have put Tilda on a nestabilities die, which I also used for the sentiment, which is Hero Arts. I paperpieced Tilda's dress and coloured her with my copics (see under; the naughty turned round one must be nr. RV10). I used my McGill punch for the leaves, some rhinestones and Stickles for the sparkling and the glitter and I embossed with a Cuttlebug folder. The pink ribbon (already had some glitters on it) and button are attached with scrappers floss. We bought the flowery ribbon somewhere in France while we were having a vacation. I cut off 2 of them and used 1 in Tilda's hair and 1 on the sentiment.

The flowers under the roses (which are from Wild Orchid Crafts) are originally white but I have coloured them with copics RV11 and then sprinkled them all with Stickles:

I will enter the following challenges:
Sarah Hurley: All Sewn Up
Glitterbabe's Challenge: Anything goes + sparkle
Wild Orchid: Stitch it up
Crafty Catz Weekly Challenge: Magnolia/Tilda week
Inky Impressions Challenge: Anything goes
Stamp Something: Something punchy
A Spoon Full of Sugar: Sparkle & Shine
Incy Wincy: Sparkly glitter
Ai Factory: Embossing
Sweet Stampin: Diamonds are a girl's best friend
Creative Inspirations: Birthday theme
Colour Create Challenges: Pink, green and cream
Papertake weekly: Favourite Challenge of the last 3 years (May 2010: Say it with flowers)
Thanks for popping by and I hope you will leave me a comment.
Have a lovely Sunday!

As some of my followers will know a lovely lady in America called Jacque has been battling Breast Cancer and now she is on the final leg of her treatment and to celebrate she is kindly offering various Pink Candy throughout October to celebrate BREAST CANCER AWARENESS.

She also wrote on her blog the following about a very dear friend of hers:

And now to help me celebrate the end of my PINK JOURNEY and to remind you of the importance of awareness, I would like to offer the first of my several PINK SWEET STUFFS this month. But first I need to ask you to do a BIG favor for me!! One of my past DT sisters from Belles 'n Whistles has just found out that she now has breast cancer...Elise Dinolfo, a lovely and vibrant 38 year old lady with a 4 year old little boy!! Please drop by her blog and leave a little bit of love along with alot of heap big hugs...I would love for you to let her know that I asked you to drop by!!!!! She will need all the love and support which each of you gave to me as I was going down that bumpy road!!!! Elise had not yet reached the magic age of 40 so had never had her first mammogram yet...she found those scary lumps herself. So ladies, do you now see why I am on the soapbox begging ALL of you to have the necessary testing and do those regular self-examinations...Breast Cancer does not show favorites at any age!!!!! Thank you sincerely!!!!

We play Spooky at OSAAT #33

Sunday...... that means a new challenge at OSAAT. We want you to go spooky. This challenge will last 2 weeks, so you have time enough to create your spooky project.
For me this one meant a real challenge, because I want nothing to do with Halloween. But when I saw the fantastic papers from Panda Bear Designs and the image Too Cute to Spook from Stampin Dragon everything went smoothly. Both papers and image are for sale here. I decided to make an easelcard in order to use as much of the papers as possible. My cute spooky needed only a few copics so I only used the C series.
Here's my card from aside:

And here the backside:

We at OSAAT are having a lot of fun things going on on the challenge can read more about it in my yesterday's pop over and take a look at the fabulous creations of the other DT members.

With this card I will also enter the next challenges:
The ABC Challenge Blog: E is for Easel
Secret Crafter Saturday: Easelcard
Stamp, Scrap & Doodle Challenges: Anything
Baby Bud Designs: Fall or Halloween
StampsRUs: Halloween
By The Cute And Girly: Spooky
