Dappere Carl / Courageous Carl

Het was hier vanmorgen prachtig weer, dus zijn we op de fiets gestapt en hebben het er even van genomen. Wat een verschil met die regen van gisteren. Het zonnetje is inmiddels weer gedeeltelijk verdwenen, maar het is nog wel droog. Eerst maar dit kaartje afgemaakt. Hij is voor de verjaardag van de zoon van vrienden, die pas geleden op safari in Afrika zijn geweest. Ik vond hem daarom wel toepasselijk, onze dappere Carl. Het is een digi van Crissy Armstrong en te verkrijgen bij Whimsy Stamps. Ik heb hem met de Classic Scalloped Rectangles uitgestanst, met copics gekleurd en de bloem met Smooch behandeld. Papier is Stella & Rose van My Mind's Eye en alles is gedistressed met Tim Holtz brushed corduroy. Zowel de grote als de kleine sterren zijn gemaakt met Quickutz stansen. De grote sterren zijn omwikkeld met scrapper's floss van Karen Foster. De tekstcirkel is van Aud Design.

The weather was so beautiful this morning that we first enjoyed a bicycle ride. Such a difference with all yesterday's rain. The sun has partly disappeared at the moment, but the weather is still good. So I had to finish this card first. It is meant for the son of one of our friends, who recently went for a safari in Africa. I thought courageous Carl very appropriate. It is a digi from Crissy Armstrong and for sale at Whimsy Stamps. I punched with Classic Scalloped Rectangles, coloured with copics and treated the flower with Smooch. Papers are Stella & Rose from My Mind's Eye and all are distressed with TH brushed corduroy. Bothe the big and the small stars are Quickutz dies. The big stars are surrounded with Karen Fosters' scrapper's floss. Textcircle is Aud Design's.
