Eindelijk mag ik het grote nieuws officieel verspreiden dat ik door Rebekah van Divas By Design gevraagd ben om DT lid te worden. Ik vond het een grote eer en heb natuurlijk meteen ja gezegd. We bestaan nu uit 3 teams en iedere week is er een nieuwe challenge. Mijn eerste bijdrage zal op 15 februari zijn. Aangezien ik dat wel lang vind duren, heb ik nu vast een kaartje gemaakt met de schets van deze week. Je kunt nog meedoen deze week!

Finally I may spread the exciting news that Rebekah from Divas By Design invited me to join her DT team. I felt very honoured and said wholehearted yes. There are 3 teams now and there will be a new challenge every week. My first contribution will be at 15 Februari. As I could not wait, I made a card with this week's sketch challenge. There is still time to enter!

De schattige, knuffelende Tilda en Edwin heb ik gekleurd met distress én H2O. Maar ik denk dat ik daar nog eens een worksop in ga volgen bij Jolanda van 't Scraphuis. Papier is van K&Company, stans van nestability, pons van Martha Stewart, dan nog twine met een bedeltje eraan, weer wat houten hartjes (gekleurd met copics en bewerkt met crackle paint), een opengewerkt houten hart (ook met copics gekleurd), bloemen van Wild Orchid Crafts en 2 metalen hoekelementen.

The cute hugging Tilda and Edwin are coloured with both distress and H2O, but I think I need to follow another workshop at Jolanda from 't Scraphuis. Papers are K& Company, a nestability die, Martha Stewart heart borderpunch, twine with a heart charm, wooden hearts, Wild Orchid Crafts flowers and some metal corner elements.

van kaart naar tas

Gisteravond moest ik naar de verjaarsparty van een collegaatje, samen met 2 andere collega's. Het cadeautje was wel verpakt, maar ze vonden het toch leuker als ik er nog iets meer van wilde maken. Ik heb daarom mijn laatst gemaakte kaart met Tilda op een bestaand tasje geplakt en daarna de achterkant versierd met de klok van Tim Holtz. Daarop wat tekst gemaakt met een Quickutz alfabet. Alles beïnkt met peeled paint distress inkt. Het hengsel heb ik gemaakt van bakkers garen en hieraan de label van Doohickey met een stukje wondgaas gehangen. De namen van de gevers staan hierin geschreven. Nog wat bloemen geponst en een strasssteentje erop. Onderaan nog wat hoekjes geplakt. Het tasje (en nog meer de inhoud natuurlijk) werd zeer gewaardeerd.

Dank je wel voor alle reacties. Ik vind ze altijd ontzettend leuk om te lezen. Nog een fijne zondag allemaal!

Fairy Fun Fridays#71 Anything But A Card

Er is weer een nieuwe challenge bij Fairy Fun Fridays. Kelly is de gastvrouw en zij daagt iedereen uit iets te maken, als het maar geen kaart is. Ik heb een Valentijnsdoosje gemaakt gevuld met snoephartjes. De schattige digi is van Prairie Fairy en heet Flyin' Lewis. Het papier is Oliver van Basic Grey, Lewis is met copics gekleurd en de houten hartjes heb ik eerst met copics gekleurd en daarna heb ik er crackle paint overheen gedaan. De binnenkant heb ik versierd met harten. De 2 kleine harten zijn van Quickutz en heb ik aan elkaar vastgemaakt met een touwtje, waaraan ik een veiligheidsspeld heb gedaan met een bedel. Het onderste hart is gemaakt met een stans van Nellie Snellen. Verder een touw eromheen ter decoratie en de sluiting is een clip met (alweer) een touwtje eraan. Dochterlief gaat dit doosje aan haar vriend geven met Valentijn.

Another challenge at Fairy Fun Fridays. Kelly is our hostess and she asks for Anything, But A Card. I made a box for Valentine and it is filled with heart candy. The cute digi is from Prairie Fairy and is called Flyin' Lewis. Papers are Basic Grey (Oliver), Lewis is coloured with copics and the wooden hearts are coloured with copics and after that I put some crackle paint on them. The inside is decorated with hearts. The 2 small hearts are Quickutz' and tied together with a piece of rope, with a safety pin with a charm hanging on it. The lower heart is a Nellie Snellen die. As finishing touch a piece of rope and a clip with (again) a piece of rope as closure. My daughter will give this box to her boyfriend with Valentine's.

Tilda met kikker / Tilda with frog

Welkom Karin, Raven en Jacqueline. Ik vind het heel leuk dat jullie volger zijn geworden en ik hoop dat je zult genieten van mijn creaties.

Dit is één van mijn favoriete Tildaatjes. Ik vind haar zo schattig met haar kikkertje. Ik heb haar met copics gekleurd, maar de foto hiervan is mislukt doordat hij met lamplicht gemaakt moest worden. Haar vleugels en de bloemenkrans zijn met stickles bewerkt. Onder Tilda heb ik een stukje gaas gedaan. Het papier is weer Kissing Booth van Basic Grey met eronder een Cheery Lynn stans (beiden te verkrijgen bij 't Bezige Bijtje). De knopen en het lint zijn uit eigen voorraad. De bloemen zijn met de retro pons gemaakt, met walnut stain gedistressed en daarna opgebold. Erop roze metalen roosjes.

Heart wings

Wat is het dit weekend toch weer slecht weer. Het is lekker om binnen te blijven en kaartjes te maken. Ook geen straf voor mij hoor. Deze keer heb ik weer eens een ander soort kaart gemaakt. Als basis heb een CD gebruikt. Ik heb hem aan 2 zijden beplakt met het prachtige Basic Grey papier (Kissing Booth), verkrijgbaar bij 't Bezige Bijtje. Er tussenin heb ik kant en een kettinkje om aan op te hangen geplakt. De rand is gestanst met een Martha Stewart pons, daarna geëmbossed en met vintage photo gedistressed. Eroverheen een lintje uit eigen voorraad. Ik had laatst een stans van Tim Holtz gekocht (heart wings). Ik heb een vaatdoekje gebruikt om hem uit te stansen en wel omdat ik dit de perfecte kleur vond. Op het kroontje (waarop wat strasssteentjes van Nellie's Chocie, ook van 't Bezige Bijtje) en de vleugels heb ik 2 lagen vaatdoek op karton geplakt en daarna uitgestanst en met copic marker E49 de randjes bewerkt. Ik hoop dat jullie hem leuk vinden.

It is such bad weather again, so the only thing that is left is crafting (and that doesn't bother me at all). I made another kind of card this time. I used a CD as basis and stuck the beautiful Basic Grey papers Kissing Booth on it with in between lace and a chain to hang it. The border is Martha Stewart's, embossed and distressed with vintage photo. Last week I bought the Heart Wings die from Tim Holtz. I cut out with cardboard and stuck 2 pieces of a dishcloth on it (because of the perfect fitting colour) and distressed with copic marker E49. On the crown some Nellie's Choice's strass stones. Well, I hope you like it.

Game, set and match

Dit kaartje heb ik gemaakt voor mijn tennismaatje. Ik vond het een zeer toepasselijke plaatje, wat ik gekregen heb van mijn 'beurs'maatje Jolanda. Ik heb ook nog een bedel racket aan het 'net' vastgemaakt. Ik heb Tilda met distress gekleurd. Een paar bloemen op elkaar met op het laatst een roosje van een Marianne Design stans met een parel erin. Boven- en onderin wat dew drops. Een roze paperclip bij 't Bezige Bijtje vandaan. Het tekstrondje is van een decemberfreebie van Cindy van Bluebirdsflats, waarvoor mijn hartelijke dank.

I made this card for my tennisfriend. I thought it a very appropriate image and I received it from Jolanda. I attached a racket charm at the 'net'. Tilda is coloured with distress. I stapled some flowers with a rose on top which is a Marianne Design die. A pearl and some dew drops as finishing touch. The pink paperclip is from 't Bezige Bijtje. The circle sentiment is Cindy from Bluebirdsflats' decemberfreebie and I thank her very much for it.

Ik zag in de winkel dit chocolade racket liggen en vond het wel een leuk cadeautje met de kaart erbij!

In a shop I found this racket made of chocklit and I thought it would be a nice gift with the matching card!

Black Tilda

Dit is mijn 2e post voor vandaag. Hieronder staat de 1e post met de nieuwe schets van Sketches By Carly.

Dit Magnoliaatje lag al even te wachten en ik zag dat zij goed van pas kwam voor de challenge van Magnolia Down Under: afdrukje in zwart/wit. Ik heb haar met met distress inkt gestempeld en daarna met de waterbrush 'gekleurd'. Ik had dit in de Cards Only zien staan en ik moet zeggen dat het een leuke techniek is.

Het papier is uit de restjesvoorraad. Het glittercardstock achter Tilda heb ik weer met de harten nestabilitie geponst, die net als het hartenlint bij 't Bezige Bijtje vandaan komt. Erachter een stukje wondgaas. In de drie rode knoopjes heb ik roze scrappers floss gedaan. De houten hartjes van Xenos heb ik met een copic marker gekleurd en daarna heb ik er een flinke laag crackle paint over gedaan. Een bloementoef als finishing touch.

Weer heel erg bedankt voor het langskomen en ik wens iedereen een heel fijn weekend!

This little Magnolia was waiting on my desk to be used and now she suits perfectly Magnolia Down Under's challenge: stamp in black and white. I stamped her with distress ink and then I coloured her with the waterbrush. I had read this in Cards Only and I must say that I love this technique. Papers are from my stock. The glitter cardstock behind Tilda is punched with a nestabilitie. Some heart ribbon, gauze, 3 buttons with pink scrappers floss. The woorden hearts are coloured with a copic marker and after that I put a lot of crackle paint on them. A flowery arrangement as finishing touch.

Sketches By Carly #48 PARTY - DT card

Alweer 2 weken voorbij, dus weer tijd voor een nieuwe schets bij Sketches By Carly. Onderaan deze post kun je de schets vinden. Ik heb gebruik gemaakt van het nieuwe papier van Basic Grey: Kissing Booth. Doordat het dubbelzijdig is, zijn er zoveel mogelijkheden mee. Het komt bij 't Bezige Bijtje vandaan, evenals die geweldige nestability met hartjes. De vlaggetjes zijn Doohickey en de letters WISH zijn van Quickutz. Het lint is uit de voorraaddoos. De bloemen zijn van Prima Flower met erop een bloem, gemaakt met een stans van Marianne Design. Ik heb er wat meeldraden ingedaan.

GDT bij Sundays with Crissy

Ik voel me zeer vereerd dat ik vandaag gastdesigner mag zijn bij Sundays with Crissy. Ik mocht 3 digi's uitzoeken en de opdracht was Beat the Mid-Winter Blues. Dus eigenlijk alles wat niet aan de sombere winter doet denken is goed. De bovenste kaart is gemaakt met een stempel van Wags 'N Whiskers en heet Bella and Gemma's Spring Fun. Ik vond het zo'n schattig stelletje. Ik heb ze met distress gekleurd. Het papier is My Mind's Eye (Stella and Rose). Verder heb ik wondgaas, dew drops en bloemen en roosjes van Wild Orchid Crafts gebruikt.

I feel very honoured to be asked to be guestdesigner at Sundays with Crissy. I was allowed to pick 3 digi's to work with for the challenge Beat the Mid-Winter Blues. The first card is made with a Wags 'N Whiskers digi, called Bella and Gemma's Spring Fun. Aren't they lovely? I coloured them with distress. Papers are My Mind's Eye (Stella and Rose). Other ingredients are gaze, dew drops, WOC flowers and roses.

Voor het tweede kaartje heb ik ook een Wags 'N Whiskers stempel gekozen en wel He Loves Me en deze digi heb ik met H2O ingekleurd. Papier is My Mind's Eye (Quite Contrary). Verder heb ik alweer wondgaas gebruikt, een shapeability, prachtig breed lint, dew drops en glittersteentjes. De strik is van wondgaas gemaakt dat ik met distress inkt gekleurd heb. Een mooie parel brad van American Crafts maakt hem af.

I also used a Wags 'N Whiskers digi for the 2nd card and this one is called He Loves Me. I coloured this time with H2O. Papers are My Mind's Eye (Quite Contrary). I used again gaze, a shapeability, beautiful ribbon, dew drops and rhinestones. The bow is made of gaze, coloured with distress ink. A pretty American Crafts' pearl brad as finishing touch.

Mijn laatste kaartje is gemaakt met een digi van Squigglefly en heet Moose-ical Genius. Deze heb ik gekleurd met copics, maar ik ben de kleuren vergeten op te schrijven. Het papier is van Echo Park en heet Dots and Stripes. Wat jute en bloemen met zijden roosjes erop. De sterren zijn van Die-namics en de tekst is van Magnolia.

The 3rd card is made with a Squigglefly digi, called Moose-ical Genius. Coloured with copics, papers are Echo Park's (Dots and Stripes). Some jute and flowers with silk roses on top, stars are Die-namics' and the sentiment is Magnolia's.

Tilda in blue

Alweer 2 nieuwe volgers erbij. Van harte welkom en ik hoop dat jullie wat inspiratie van me krijgen.

Deze schattige Tilda heb ik van mijn Prairie Fairy maatje Lori gekregen. Ik vond haar zeer geschikt om te gebruiken voor wat 'blauwe' challenges. Het papier is van Avec. Tilda is gekleurd met copics en ik heb haar op een stans van Marianne Design geplakt. De bloem hoort ook bij deze set (CR1204) en komt bij 't Bezige Bijtje vandaan. Erin een grote, glanzende splitpen van Xenos. De borderstans is van Martha Stewart en het lint is uit eigen voorraad.

I got this lovely Tilda from my Prairie Fairy friend Lori. I thought her very suitable to use for some 'blue' challenges. Paper is Avec. Tilda has been coloured with copics and I sticked her on a Marianne Designs' die. The flower accompanies this set (CR1204). In it I have put a big, shining brad from Xenos. California Dreaming

Hannah van Fairy Fun Fridays is de gastvrouw van de challenge California Dreaming. Ik vond het best een moeilijke opdracht, maar toen ik deze digi (Fairy Sleepy) zag, kwam de inspiratie: wij dromen er nl. van om in het najaar naar Californië te gaan. Onze vakantie in Florida is zo goed bevallen, dat we zoiets nog een keertje willen gaan doen.

Ik heb haar ingekleurd met H2O en zoals je hieronder kunt zien, geeft dat een glanzend effect. Onder de Doohickey wolk heb ik veertjes geplakt (ik merk dat ik de laatste tijd wel vaker met veertjes werk???). De tekst is met de computer gemaakt. Een mooie grote brad en wat parelsteentjes erop. Zowel het zigzaglint als het lint met de stippen komt uit de voorraaddoos. De bloemen zijn deels uit de voorraad en deels geponst, net als de 2 soorten blaadjes. Het papier is My Mind's Eye (Quite Contrary).

Hannah is this time Fairy Fun Fridays' hostess and she challenges California Dreaming. I found it a tough challenge, but when I saw this digi (Fairy Sleepy) I got inspiration: we are dreaming of going to California when it's fall. We so enjoyed our vacation in Florida, that we will do something like that again.

I coloured her with H2O and as you can see hereunder, it gives a shiny effect, some Stickles on her wing. I sticked some feathers underneath the Doohickey cloud (I noticed I'm into feathers at the moment). The sentiment is computergenerated. A nice, big brad and some gemstones to complete it. Both the ricrac and the ribbon with dots are from my stash. Flowers are partly stash and partly punched, as are the different leaves. Papers are My Mind's Eyes (Quite Contrary).

Een bloemetje??

Gisteravond is Mariken wezen knutselen. Het was heel gezellig. We hebben de schets van Sketches by Carly gebruikt. Je kunt overigens nog tot woensdag aan deze challenge meedoen. We hebben gekozen om met copics een stempeltje van Lili of the Valley in te kleuren. Allebei hebben we hetzelfde papier van My Mind's Eye gebruikt (Stella and Rose). We hebben het kaartje geen van tweeën afgekregen, dus het resultaat hebben we van elkaar ook nog niet gezien.

Ik heb alles beïnkt met Cat's Eyes en onder het afdrukje wat verbandgaas gedaan. De tekst is een stans van Quickutz. De houten hartjes heb ik met copics gekleurd en daarna met Crackle Paint bewerkt. De vlinder is een stans van Marianne Design en ik heb er wat stipjes met de Perlen Pen op gedaan. Links onder een fotohoek stans van Quickutz en tenslotte onderaan nog wat dew drops.

Yesterday evening I've been making a card with Mariken. We have had a lot of fun. We used the sketch from Sketches by Carly. You can still enter this challenge until next Wednesday. We choose to colour with copics a Lilli of the Valley stamp. We both used the same My Mind's Eye papers (Stella and Rose). We both weren't able to finish our card, so the end result is for both of us a surprise.

I distressed all with Cat's Eyes and put some gaze underneath the image. Sentiment is a Quickutz die. The wooden hearts are coloured with copics and afterwards I put some Crackle Paint on them. The butterfly is Marianne Design's and I put some dots with the Perlen Pen. At the left bottom a Quickutz photocorner die and as finishing touch at the right bottom some dew drops.

Bij Penny Black is er een leuke uitdaging: gebruik onderstaande kaart van Beth als voorbeeld. Ik vond het een goede gelegenheid om weer eens een PB stempel van stal te halen. Ik heb alle onderdelen gedistressed met Spiced Marmelade. Om de sterren heen heb ik scrappers floss gedaan om het wat stoerder te laten lijken.

There is a new challenge at Penny Black: case a card (and use the underneath card). I thought it a good opportunity to dig out a PB stamp again. I distressed all parts with Spiced Marmelade. Around the stars I put scrappers floss to give it a tougher look.

Beth's card

Hier het gekleurde hondje. De tekststempel heb ik al eeuwen in huis en nooit gebruikt. Ik hem hem gestempeld met Tim Holtz' distress inkt Spiced Marmelade. De bovenkant van de taart heb ik met H2O gedaan, zodat het net een glazuurlaag lijkt.

Here's my coloured doggy. I own the sentiment stamp for ages and never used it. I stamped with Tim Holtz' distress ink Spiced Marmelade. The top of the cake is coloured with H2O to give it a glazing look.

Allereerst een warm welkom voor mijn 2 nieuwste volgers. Dit is mijn 2e kaartje voor vandaag. Kijk voor de nieuwe schets van Sketches by Carly naar mijn post hieronder.
Ook voor dit kaartje heb ik het prachtige Pion papier gebruikt en wel 'Leaf' en 'Newly hatched'. Heb van beide vellen ook de achterkanten gebruikt. Alle kanten zijn beïnkt met Cat's Eyes. Ik vind dat toch een mooier effect geven. De hartjes (nog veel meer) had ik van mijn dochter gekregen als versiering in een cadeautje. Ik zeg altijd tegen haar dat ik van alles kan gebruiken, en zie hier het resultaat. Straks ga ik met mijn moeder en Joop shoppen: naar een Trollbeads winkel voor een boeddha voor aan mijn armband en daarna op kledingjacht. Ik wens jullie een fijn weekend!

The hearts (and many more) were with a present my daughter gave me. As you can see: I can use anything for my cards. Today I go shopping with my mother and Joop: we go to a Trollbeads store to buy a buddha for my bracelet and afterwards looking for some clothes. Have a good weekend!

Allereerst wil ik mijn nieuwe volgers een warm welkom heten. Ik hoop dat jullie hier wat inspiratie kunnen vinden.

Dit kaartje is gemaakt met het prachtige, dubbelzijdige, Pion papier (Ring of Roses). Onder het afdrukje heb ik wat kant gedrapeerd. Onder de bloemen heb ik wat veertjes gedaan. Verder nog wat lint en 2 doorzichtige knoopjes met een bedeltje aan een veiligheidsspeld. Alle delen zijn met Cat's Eyes beïnkt en met de naaimachine doorgestikt.

This card is made with the beautiful, doublesided, Pion papers (Ring of Roses). Beneath the image I draped some lace. Beneath the flowers I sticked some feathers. Further, some ribbon and 2 transparent buttons with a charm hanging at a safety pin. All parts are distressed with Cat's Eyes and machine stitched.

Dit kaartje heb ik speciaal gemaakt voor het Krea 'Teja' blog, waarvoor Sjakkie deze leuke schets heeft gemaakt. Ik heb Bo Bunny papier van de Midnight Frost Collection gebruikt. Het lint is uit de voorraaddoos. De 2 kleine sterren zijn gemaakt met een Shapeability, onder het tekstrondje zit er ook eentje. Hier heb ik nog wat zilveren Stickles opgedaan. De tekstrondjes zijn te koop bij mijn Prairie Fairy maatje Tracey Brossart. De grote, witte sneeuwster heb ik gekregen van mijn andere Prairie Fairy maatje Lori. Ten slotte heb ik nog wat brads in stervorm gebruikt. Tilda is ingekleurd met distress en op haar muts heb ik ook wat Stickles gedaan. Ik heb haar uitgeknipt en verhoogd opgeplakt.

Ik hoop dat jullie mijn kaartje leuk vinden en hou mijn blog in de gaten, want ik heb binnenkort een nieuwtje te vertellen!

The sentiment is for sale at my Prairie Fairy teammie Tracey Brossart. The big, white snowstar comes from my Canadian teammie Lori. Finally I used some star brads. Tilda is colored with distress and I put some Stickles on her hat. I cut her out and sticked her with foam.

Dit is het perfecte moment (zie op het ticket) om jullie een heel gelukkig, gezond en creatief 2012 te wensen!

Ik doe dit met deze kaart die met Pion papier is gemaakt. Ja, ook ik heb deze prachtige papierlijn gevonden. Ik heb wat zilveren hoekornamenten gebruikt en een antieke knoop uit de knopendoos op de dubbele strik gedaan. Onder de afbeelding zit wat verbandgaas.

Ik doe mijn best om jullie dit jaar weer veel kijkplezier te geven, zodat ik weer veel leuke, lieve en voor mij onmisbare berichtjes te lezen krijg!
Morgen moet ik weer aan het werk. Best wel een bijzondere dag, omdat ik dan 25 jaar in dienst ben!

Deze lieve Tilda en die geweldige sneeuwster heb ik van Lori gekregen. Hartelijk dank hiervoor. Toevallig had ik zelf bijna dezelfde sterren gekocht tijdens onze vakantie in Florida. Ik zal er nu een aantal aan mijn candy toevoegen. Dit is één van de weinige keren dat ik geen schets heb gebruikt, maar zelf wat heb verzonnen. Ik vond nog roze veertjes in mijn voorraad en het leek me wel leuk om Tilda er op te zetten. De tekst is met rub-ons gemaakt.

I got his sweet Tilda and that gorgeous snowstar from the lovely Lori. Thanks sweetie. I happenen to have bought almost the same stars during my trip through Florida. So I will add some of them in my candy. I usually use sketches, except this time. I found some pink feathers in my stash and I liked it to put Tilda on them. I made the sentiment with rub-ons.

Dit kaartje heb ik gemaakt voor Sketches by Carly. Hieronder kun je de schets vinden. Onze wedstrijd duurt deze keer tot 5 januari. We worden gesponserd door The Paper Shelter, die ons o.a. deze prachtige digi ter beschikking heeft gesteld. Zij stellen een certificaat t.w.v. $20 ter beschikking voor de winnaar. Dat is toch een mooi prijsje zou ik zeggen. Dus doe mee! En het handige is dat je de digi's in gekleurde en ongekleurde versie krijgt. Aangezien ik een beetje in tijdnood zit wat kerstkaarten maken betreft, heb ik een keer gekozen voor de gekleurde versie.

Weer terug uit Florida / Back again from Florida

Zoals jullie inmiddels wel weten, waren wij onlangs 40 jaar getrouwd en zijn dat met onze dochter en haar vriend 2 weken wezen vieren in Florida. We hebben een fantastische vakantie gehad. Heerlijk weer en heel veel gezien: Orlando, Fort Myers, Naples, Key Largo, Key West en een paar dagen Miami. Het was in Orlando erg rustig, dus we hebben 2 parken in 1 dag gezien. Ook Sea World was een bezoek waard (we hebben roggen geaaid....zó bijzonder). Een geweldige tocht door de Everglades met een airboat gemaakt en 6 krokodillen gezien. We hebben ook nog een babykrokodil vast mogen houden. Heerlijke strandwandelingen, lekker eten, het kon niet op. En wat ook best bijzonder was: Florida in Kerstsfeer bij een temperatuur van 28 graden! En dan deze kou in ons kikkerlandje!

Dit kaartje had ik voor Joop meegenomen om hem te bedanken voor de 40 fijne jaren samen. Hij vond Piggelmee altijd zo'n leuk verhaal, dus toen ik deze digi vond bij Beyond the Fringe was voor mij de kaart al half gemaakt!

As you probably know, we were celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary in Florida, together with our daughter and her boyfriend. It has been a fantastic time. Lovely weather and so much to see: Orlando, Fort Myers, Naples, Key Largo, Key West and another few days in Miami. It was so quiet in Orlando that we could visit 2 parks in 1 day. We also loved Seaworld, especially touching the springrays. We made a beautiful trip by airboat through the Everglades, where we saw 6 alligators. We also were allowed to have a baby gator in our hands! Great walks along the beaches, delicious food, all fab. And what was so special: Christmas in Florida with such high temperatures. And back here it is só cold!

I made this card for Joop to thank him for 40 wonderful years. He always loved Piggelmee, a Dutch story about a gnome living with his wife in an old shoe, so when I saw this digi at Beyond the Fringe, my card was already half made!

40 jaar getrouwd / 40th wedding anniversary

Dit kaartje is op bestelling gemaakt voor een 40-jarig huwelijk. Nu zijn wij op 2-12 zelf ook zover, dus wie weet ontvangen we hem zelf wel. Ik heb papier van Prima Marketing gebruikt, de afbeelding is van Mo Manning en is gekleurd met distress. De klok is van Tim Holtz, bloemen en blaadjes zijn Doohickeys. randpons van Fiskars, en de cijfers 40 zijn van Quickutz. Pearl brads van American Crafts en een hoekornamentje maken het geheel af.

This is a commissioned card for a 40th wedding anniversary. Perhaps we will receive this card ourselves because on 2-12 we ourselves are 40 years a married couple. Papers are Prima Marketing, the image is Mo Manning's and is coloured with distress. The weathered clock is Tim Holtz', flowers and leaves are Doohickeys, Fiskars borderpunch and the numbers are a Quickutz die. Pearl brads from American Crafts and a corner ornament as finishing touch.

FFF#67 Beat the blues

Hoera, wij hebben feest, want we zijn vandaag 40 jaar getrouwd. Zoals je ziet worden we toegezongen door Caroling Gillian. Het is nl. weer tijd voor onze tweewekelijkse challenge bij Fairy Fun Fridays. Corry is de hostess en zij wil Beat the Blues zien....oftewel blauw met wit. Ik heb weer een centre step kaartje gemaakt, momenteel mijn favoriet. Ik heb Gillian verhoogd opgeplakt zodat zij echt vóór het hekje staat. Dit is een heel oude stempel van Magnolia die ik uitgeknipt heb. De lantaarnpaal is een stans van Tim Holtz. De wolk is een Doohickey en ik heb er een 'parel' ster aangehangen, die ik bij 't Scraphuis heb gekocht, evenals het Magnoliapapier. Het tekstrondje is gemaakt door mijn medeprinses Tracey Brossart. Zij heeft nog veel meer mooie dingen gemaakt. Ga maar eens op haar blog kijken (zij heeft ook een prachtige candy!). De sneeuwsterren zijn van vilt en gestanst met een Quickutz die. Daarop kleine sterretjes. De ijspegelrand is gemaakt met een Martha Stewart pons. Alle sneeuw is gemaakt met liquid appliqué. Ik hoop dat jullie mijn creatie leuk vinden en het als een aanleiding zien om mee te doen met deze Fairy Fun Friday challenge! Hieronder zie je de inspiratiefoto van Corry.

I stuck Gillian with foam so it looks if she is realy standing before the gate, which is an old Magnolia stamp and I cut it out. The lamppost is Tim Holtz. The cloud is a Doohickey with a pearl star hanging on it, bought at 't Scraphuis, as is the Magnolia papers. The circle sentiment is made by our princess Tracey Brossart and she made so many other beautiful stuff. Have a look at her blog and see her fantastic candy!. The snowstars are made of felt with a Quickutz die. Some small stars on top. Also used the Martha Stewart icecicle punch. Snow is made with liquid appliqué. CANDY Time

Ik vond het tijd worden om ook eens een candy weg te geven.
Waarom? Nou, wij zijn binnenkort 40 jaar getrouwd en gaan dat op een geweldige plek vieren (later meer hierover), mijn blog bestaat inmiddels al bijna 2,5 jaar én ik vind het zelf altijd leuk om met candies mee te doen (en heb er ook al diverse gewonnen).
Wat moet je doen:
- je bent of wordt volger (en liefst niet alleen voor de candy)
- je plaatst de candy in je sidebar
- je laat een berichtje achter
Bij ieder 5e berichtje doe ik wat extra's in de candy erbij. Met Kerstmis wordt de winnaar bekend gemaakt.

Antieke auto / antique car

Jolanda van webshop 't Scraphuis stond op de KreaDoe en ik ben haar een paar dagen wezen helpen. Zij heeft momenteel een leuke Sinterklaascandy, dus ga eens op haar blog kijken! Dit kaartje had ik als voorbeeldkaartje voor in de kraam gemaakt. Het prachtige dubbelzijdige papier is van Prima Marketing, de auto is een stans van Marianne Design, alle randjes bewerkt met de distresser van Tim Holtz, wat jute en houten knopen.

A few weeks ago there was a big creative fair in Utrecht. I was helping Jolanda from webshop 't Scraphuis and I made this card as an example for her. The beautiful doublesided papers are Prima Marketing, the car is a Marianne Design, all edges are treated with Tim Holtz' distresser, some burlap and wooden buttons.

Whimsy Stamps Challenge #16 Tag You're It!! and an announcement / een mededeling

Het is weer de beurt aan team B voor Whimsy Stamps Challenge en deze keer vragen wij je om een tag te maken of er eentje aan je project toe te voegen. Ik heb Harry van LiaStampz gebruikt. Heel handig in deze tijd van het jaar. Lia heeft er ook een heleboel tekstjes bij gemaakt. Het papier is een oude Basic Grey lijn. Verder heb ik de klok van Tim Holtz gebruikt, de tag (met een touwtje eraan) verdwijnt er half onder en kan eruit getrokken worden (zoals je hieronder kunt zien). De strik heb ik van een soort gaas gemaakt en er een stervormige brad op gedaan. Gekleurd met distress.

De mededeling is dat dit mijn laatste kaartje als DT lid voor Whimsy Stamps is. Ik vond het een moeilijke beslissing om te gaan stoppen, maar ze hebben iedere maand zoveel leuke nieuwe stempels, dat ik er bijna niet toe kom om ook eens andere te gebruiken. En zoals de meesten van jullie heb ik er meer dan genoeg. Ik wil hierbij mijn dank zeggen aan Debbie, Denise en al mijn teammaatjes voor de leuke tijd die we hebben gehad!

Make or add a tag to your project. Whimsy Stamps Team B's turn again. I used Harry from LiaStampz and with him goes a lot of sentiments of which mine is one of them. Papers are old Basic Grey's. I also used the weathered clock from Tim Holtz with my tag half under it. You can pull it with a small rope (as you can see on the underneath photo). The bow is made from a kind of netting and I put a star brad on top. Colouring with distress.

And then the announcement: it is with pain in my heart that I have decided to stop as a DT member of Whimsy Stamps. But every month they release so many new images that I have lack of time to use any other kind of stamp. And like most of you, I have plenty of them. So I will thank Debbie, Denise and all my teamies for the nice time we have had!

't Is weer tijd voor een nieuwe challenge bij Fairy Fun Fridays. Deze keer is Kendra the gastvrouw en zij wil graag HERFST zien. Ik heb Groovin Granny gebruikt, die in de herfst van haar leven is. Haar stippeltjesjurk is gepaperpieced en zij is met copics gekleurd. Verder heb ik een Avec randpons, Nellie Snellen vlinderpons, bladeren, lint met bladeren er op en hiervan een strik gemaakt en een vlinderbrad gebruikt. Doen jullie mee met deze challenge?

Beterschapskaartje /get well card

Mijn dochter vroeg me een kaartje te maken voor een paardrijvriend die te horen heeft gekregen dat hij nog maar een paar maanden te leven heeft. Ik vond het een moeilijke opdracht, maar hoop dat deze kaart naar haar zin is. Zowel de digi als de tekst zijn van Little Claire Designs. Ik heb alles uitgestanst met de Grand Nestabilities Labels Four. Gekleurd met distress inks en een hartenbedeltje aan het touw geknoopt.

My daughter asked me to make her a card for a friend who has heard that he has a few months left to live. I found it hard to make a card for this occasion, but I hope she will love this one. Both the digi and the sentiment are Little Claire Designs'. All is punched with Grand Nestabilities Labels Four. Coloured with distress inks and I put a heart charm at the rope.

Dit is nou mijn man / well, this is my hubby

Dit centre step kaartje heb ik gemaakt volgens een tutorial van Anneke. Het kaartje is voor de verjaardag van mijn lieve man. Altijd al benieuwd naar hoe hij er uitziet? Nou, dit istie dan. Vorige week ging hij met onze auto naar de garage voor een wintercheck. Aangezien dat gratis is, is daar natuurlijk veel belangstelling voor en dat betekent wachten en geduld hebben. De garage verzacht dat leed door het uitdelen van drinken en lekkere hapjes. En deze keer zat er ook een cartoonist en dit is hoe hij mijn Joop zag! Binnenkort zijn wij 40 jaar getrouwd en dat gaan we in Florida vieren. De tekst 'ik neem je mee....' is momenteel een liedje op de radio, dat wij heel leuk en toepasselijk vinden. Het papier is van Love Elsie (uit 2007, wie wat bewaart....) evenals het vliegtuiglint en het lintje aan de wolk, die met een Doohickey is gemaakt, net zoals de vlaggetjes, waar baker's twine doorheen is geregen. Verder nog wat toepasselijke rubons aan de zijkant.

I made this centre step card following Anneke's tutorial. It's a card for the birthday of my sweet hubby. Always curious about how he looks like? Well, here he is, made by a cartoonist while waiting in the garage for our car having a wintercheck. And this is what he saw in Joop! Soon we will be married for 40 years and we are going to celebrate it in Florida. The text on the label says 'I take you with me....' which is a popular song in the Netherlands at the moment, and it's so appropriate for us. Papers are Love Elsie (from 2007, saved up for a rainy day...) as are the ribbon with planes and the small ribbon attached to the cloud label, which is a Doohickey, as are the banners, which have a baker's twine through them. Some rubons at the sides as finishing touch.

Sinds 1 november ben ik één van de nieuwe designers voor Sketches by Carly. Ik ben hier heel blij mee, want ik werk graag vanuit een schets. Onze sponsor is deze keer Bugaboo Stamps en je kunt 7 digis naar keuze winnen. Het designteam mocht een digi uitzoeken bij Bugaboo Stamps en ik heb gekozen voor Winterfairy Snowflakes. Ik heb haar gekleurd met copics en omrand met Stickles, daarna op een nestie (Lacey Squares) geplakt. Het lint heb ik tijdens een vakantie in Zwitserland gekocht. Ik heb er een strik opgedaan en een pin erin gestoken. De sneeuwvlokken zijn met een McGill pons gemaakt, daarbovenop een plastic vlok met een Stickles hart.

Since 1 November I'm one of the new designers at Sketches by Carly. I'm so glad to be asked, because I love working with sketches. I coloured her with copics and made the border with Stickles, after that I mounted her on a Lacey Squares nestie. The ribbon is from a holiday in Switzerland. I put a bow with a pin on the ribbon. The snowstars are made with a McGill punch, some plastic snowstars with Stickles on top.

Wedstrijd volgens recept / Recipe challenge

Het is weer de beurt aan Team B van Whimsy Stamps Challenges om een kaart te maken. Deze keer moeten we via een recept werken: 1 lintje, 2 design papier, 3 embellishments (oftewel soort extraatjes). Ik heb de snoezige eland digi van Crissy Armstrong gebruikt, die hier te verkrijgen is. Hij is gekleurd met Copics en ik heb hem met foam verhoogd opgeplakt op een cirkel met een (door mijn 84-jarige moeder) gehaakt randje. Het papier is van een oude lijn van My Mind's Eye. Het lintje uit eigen voorraad en de bloem is geponst met een Marianne Design stans, evenals de takjes. De knoop is uit de knopendoos en ik heb er een stukje baker's twine in gedaan en er met een veiligheidsspeld een kerstbedeltje aan gehangen.

Time again for Team B to create a card for Whimsy Stamps Challenges. This time we ask you to use the following recipe: 1 ribbon, 2 design papers, 3 embellishments. I have used the cute Christmas Cheer Deer by Crissy Armstrong, which is for sale here. Coloured with copics and mounted with foam on a circle with a crocheted border (made by my mother of 84 years old). Papers are My Mind's Eye. Ribbon is from my stash and the flower and leaves are Marianne Design. The button is also from my stash and I put a piece of baker's twine and added a Christmas charm with a safety pin.

Ik hoop dat ik jullie er niet mee verveel, maar ik heb weer een kaart gemaakt met deze superdigi van LiaStampz. Deze keer voor mijn allerliefste tante die 70 wordt. Dit plaatje beeldt goed uit hoe knuffelig zij is. Ook nu heb ik weer gebruik gemaakt van papier van Docraft en daar zijn ook de bloemen en de brad van. Het lint, seam binding en hoekornament zijn uit mijn voorraad. De vlaggetjes van Doohickey en de cijfers van Quickutz.

I hope I'm not boring you too much, but I made another card with this gorgeous digi by LiaStampz. This time it is for my beloved aunt who will be 70 years next Wednesday. It shows how she loves hugging. I used papers of Docraft again, as are the flowers and the brad. Ribbon, seam binding and corner ornament are from my stash. Flags are Doohickey's and the numbers Quickutz.

Mijn kaartje is gemaakt met een van de schattige beertjes van Kathryne's StampArt Design. Ik heb gekleurd met distress inkt (crushed olive, wallnut stain, victorian velvet en black soot). Het papier is van Basic Grey, het lint en de roosjes komen uit de candy van Lori en de bladeren heb ik gewonnen bij Forever Friends.

I made my card with one of the lovely bears from Kathryne's StampArtDesign. Colouring medium is distress ink (crushed olive, wallnut stain, victorian velvet and black soot). Papers are Basic Grey, ribbon and roses from Lori's candy and the leaves are won at Forever Friends.

En eindelijk mag ik het leuke nieuws vertellen: Ik ben gevraagd om DT lid te worden bij Sketches by Carly. Om de andere vrijdag zal er een nieuwe schets zijn, gemaakt door Carly. Zij is pas 12 jaar oud en maakt prachtige schetsen. Zij wordt bijgestaan door haar moeder, Kris. Ga er eens kijken en doe mee met haar mooie schetsen. Mijn 1e bijdrage zal op 11 november zijn.

O, wat hou ik toch van je / Oh, I love you so much

Dit is op dit moment toch één van mijn favoriete digi's. Ik vind hem zo veelzijdig te gebruiken! Hij heet Asha with Friends en is van LiaStampz en hij is bij Whimsy Stamps te koop. Het papier is van Papermania, de bladeren heb ik gewonnen bij Forever Friends. De cijfers 50 (de kaart is voor iemand die 50 jaar wordt) op het onderste blad zijn van Quickutz en ik heb er een hartenbedeltje aan gehangen. De grote roos is van vilt en met een Marianne Design stans gemaakt. De andere bloemen komen uit de voorraad. En deze keer heb ik weer met Copics gekleurd.

This is one of my favorite digis at the moment. It is so versatile to use! It is called Asha with Friends and is from LiaStampz and for sale at Whimsy Stamps. Papers are Papermania, the leaves are won at Forever Friends. The numbers 50 (it's a card for someone being 50 soon) at the lowest leaf are Quickutz and I attached a charm. The large rose is made of felt with a Marianne Design die. The other flowers are from my stash. This time I used my copics again.

Knopen en strikken / Buttons and bows

Het is weer de beurt van Team B voor Whimsy Stamps Challenge #12: knopen en strikken. Ik heb de Curvy Tree van Natalie van Moon Cookie Gallery gebruikt om mijn kerstvoorraad aan te vullen. Ik heb met de copics gekleurd, er als versiering knoopjes en parels met de Perlen Pen op gemaakt. In mijn voorraad had ik nog het leuke lint met de tekst erop geprint. Als piek een mooie dubbele strik. Verder nog wat bloemen met knoopjes erop en afgewerkt met baker's twine. Aan de grote bloem hangt een kerstboom bedeltje. Kom op het challenge blog kijken naar de voorbeelden van de andere DT leden en doe daarna gezellig mee!

It's Team B's turn again for Whimsy Stamps Challenge #12 Buttons and bows. I used Natalie's (from Moon Cookie Gallery) Curvy Tree to enrich my Christmas stock. I coloured with copics and embellished with buttons and pearls made with the Perlen Pen. I had the pretty ribbon with sentiment in my stock. At the top a nice double bow. Tilda als eland / Tilda as a moose

Ik vind kleuren met distress inkt helemaal leuk, vandaar dat ik Tilda er maar weer eens heb bijgepakt. Haar parelketting heb ik met de Perlen Pen gedaan. Ik heb haar uitgeknipt en verhoogd opgeplakt op een nestability eight, waaronder ik kant geplooid heb. Ook dit kant komt weer uit die fantastische candy die ik bij Lori gewonnen heb. Het werkt heel fijn want het trekt zich vanzelf rond. De 2 sneeuwsterren kreeg ik van mijn Zwitserse vriendin. Ik heb ze bewerkt met Glossy accents en er daarna embossingpoeder overheen gedaan en even met de heatgun erop.

At the moment I'm totally in for colouring with distress inks, so I thought it was time again for using a Tilda. Her chain is made with the Perlen pen. I cut her out and sticked her with foam at a nestability eight, under which I pleated some lace which I won in that gorgeous candy from Lori. It works so pleasant because it pleats itself. I got the 2 snowstars from my Swiss friend. I put some Glossy accents and then some embossingpowder on them and then heated with the heatgun.

Glittering Gillian

Toen ik hoorde dat de volgende challenge bij Fairy Fun Fridays embossen met de heattool zou zijn, kreeg ik acuut hoofdpijn omdat ik dat nooit eerder heb gedaan. Dus heb ik eerst Gillian met distress inkt gekleurd en daarna rondom haar inkt gedaan met een Versamark Watermark Stamp Pad, embossingpoeder erover en daarna met de heatgun erop. Ik ben niet echt tevreden, maar ja, het was m'n eerste poging.

De hoeken heb ik afgerond met de Corner Chomper, bloemen uit eigen voorraad, wat glitter erop en een glitter brad erin, een tule strik (van Lori's candy), papier is van Bo Bunny en een Elegant Jewel van Marianne Design.

As this fortnight the challenge at Fairy Fun Fridays is Wet (or heat) Embossing I got an acute headache because I never did that before. I first coloured Gillian met distress ink and afterwards I inked around Gillian with a Versamark Watermark Stamp Pad, sprinkled with embossing powder and then used my heatgun. I'm not really satisfied but after all it was my first attempt.

I punched the corners with a Corner Chomper, flowers from my stash, put some glitter on it, a glitter brad and a tule bow (from Lori's candy), papers are Bo Bunny and an Elegant Jewel from Marianne Design.

Golfer Lewis

Dit is een verjaardagskaartje voor een vriend van ons, die graag golft. Ik heb de leuke Golfer Lewis van Prairie Fairy gebruikt. Met distress inkt (forest moss en faded jeans) heb ik getracht een passende achtergrond te maken. Ik heb een wolkenstempel van Imaginisce op vilt gestempeld, uitgeknipt en verhoogd opgeplakt. Lewis heb ik met distress inkt getracht te kleuren en zijn kleren zijn 'gepaperpieced'. Op de golfbal heb ik wat glossy accents gedaan. Ter decoratie nog 2 grote pompommetjes. Het papier is van Basic Grey en de tekst is handgeschreven.

This card is for the birthday of one of our friends who loves playing golf. I used Prairie Fairy's adorable Golfer Lewis. I distressed with TH forest moss and faded jeans to create a 'scenery'. I stamped some clouds from Imaginisce on felt with TH faded jeans, cut them out and layered them with foam blocks. I tried to colour with distress inks and Lewis's clothes are paperpieced. I put some glossy accents on the golfball. Some big pompons as decoration. Papers are Basic Grey and the sentiment is handwritten.

Thomas trein / Thomas train

Deze conducteur is één van de digis die ik gewonnen heb bij Shelly's Images (in Feline's Playful blog hop). Hij kwam precies op tijd om bij dit treinenpapier van Basic Grey te gebruiken. Hij is voor Max, die helemaal gek is van Thomas treinen. De rand is gemaakt met een Martha Stewarts randpons. De digi is gekleurd met copics, en uitgestanst met nestability Labels Seven. Zie je dat het treintje vastzit met baker's twine? Dit twine heb ik ook linksboven gedaan. Nog wat knoopjes er op (de groene van een collegaatje gekregen en de rode uit eigen voorraad). Al het papier is gedistressed met Tim Holtz' Aged Mahogany.

This conductor is one of the digis I won at Shelly's Images (in Feline's Playful blog hop). It was exactly in time to match this Basic Grey's train papers. I made it for Max, who adores Thomas trains. The border is a Martha Stewart's. Shelly's digi is coloured with copics and cut with nestability Labels Seven. Do you see the boy keeps the train with baker's twine? This twine you can also see in the left corner. Some buttons as finishing touch. All papers are distressed with Tim Holtz' Aged Mahogany.

Tilda en Edwin gaan trouwen / Tilda and Edwin get married

Welkom voor mijn nieuwe volgers, Kelly en Giò.....ik hoop dat jullie vaak langskomen en genieten van mijn blog.

Dit kaartje is gemaakt voor een stel dat trouwt om 10.30 uur. Ik heb Tilda en Edwin met copics gekleurd, uitgeknipt en Edwin verhoogd opgeplakt. Achteraf denk ik dat ik dat beter met Tilda had kunnen doen....beetje meer van deze tijd. Het papier is Capella van Basic Grey en het lint is van papier. De klok is van Tim Holtz en ik heb hem met TH bundled sage gedistressed. De wijzers (wijzen op 10.30 uur) worden bijeengehouden met een pearl brad van American Crafts. Voor de strik heb ik een soort kant gebruikt.

This card is made for a couple which will marry at 10.30 hours. I coloured Tilda and Edwin with copics, cut and stuck Edwin on foam. Looking back I think it would have been better to put the foam underneath Tilda....that's more modern. Paper is Basic Grey's Capella and the ribbon is matching paper ribbon. The clock is Tim Holtz' and is distressed with bundled sage. The pointers (pointing to 10.30 h) are kept together with an American Crafts pearl brad. For the bow I used a kind of lace.

Dit is mijn 2e post van vandaag. Hieronder kun je mijn DT kaart voor Whimsy Stamps Challenges vinden.

Dit kaartje heb ik in opdracht gemaakt voor een collegaatje die mijn vorige kaart met deze geweldige digi van Lia Stampz (Whimsy Stamps) zo leuk vond. Zij wil hem hebben voor haar beste vriendin die 40 jaar wordt. Ik heb natuurlijk weer met mijn copics gekleurd. Het papier is van Docrafts, randpons van Avec, de prachtige bladeren heb ik gewonnen (een hele zak vol) bij Forever Friends, bloemen van Wild Orchid Crafts, blauwe bloemen uit eigen voorraad en behandeld met Glossy Accents, een hartvormig bedeltje eraan, cijfers van Quickutz........en nu maar hopen dat hij naar haar zin is!

This is a commissioned card for my colleague who wanted a card with this gorgeous digi by Lia Stampz (Whimsy Stamps). Her best friend will be 40 soon. I coloured with my copics, papers are Docrafts, borderpunch is Avec, I won the beautiful leaves (a lot of them) at Forever Friends, flowers are Wild Orchid Crafts, blue flowers from my stash and I put some Glossy Accents on them. Hondenknuffel / Doggy hug

Het is weer tijd voor team B van Whimsy Stamps Challenges en deze keer willen we graag die-cuts en/of ponsen zien. Ik heb er heel wat gebruikt: Nestabilities Labels One en Eight (voor de tekststempel van Hero Arts), hart gewoon en geschulpt en de randpons is van Fiskars. In de gaatjes heb ik strasssteentjes geplakt. De witte vilten bloemen heb ik met een Shapeability gemaakt en het kleine bloemetje erop is met een EK Success pons gemaakt. Als finishing touch een plastic bloemetje met een strasssteentje. Het papier is dubbelzijdig en is de Dots & Stripes lijn van Echo Park en verkrijgbaar bij 't Bezige Bijtje. Ik heb allebei de kanten gebruikt. Ik heb de lieve digi Raggedy girl Doggy Hug van StampArt Design (Kathryne) gebruikt. Bijna alles is bewerkt met Tim Holtz pine needles.

Je hoeft geen Whimsy stempel te gebruiken om mee te doen, maar je kunt er wel eentje winnen: dus doe gewoon mee!

Time again for Whimsy Stamps Challenges team B and this time we ask you to use die-cuts and/or punches. I used a lot of them: Nestabilities Labels One and Eight (for the Hero Arts' sentiment), the heart and scalloped heart. The borderpunch is Fiskars' and I put some strassstones in the holes. The white flowers are made of felt with a Shapeability and the small flower above it with an EK Success punch. On top a plastic flower with a strassstone as finishing touch. The lovely digi I used is StampArt Design's (Kathryne) Raggedy girl Doggy Hug. Papers are doublesided Echo Parks' Dots & Stripes and I used both sides. All is distressed with Tim Holtz' pine needles.

The Magic of Oz

Wat een slecht weer was het dit weekend, zeg. Zaterdagmiddag zijn we naar de opening van een expositie geweest en verder ben ik de deur niet uitgeweest. Lekker knutselweer zullen we maar zeggen (dit is mijn 3e kaartje inmiddels).
Weer eens wat anders: een kaartje zonder te hoeven kleuren. Snel klaar, al het heeft me toch de nodige hoofdbrekens gekost. Dit is dubbelzijdig papier van Graphic 45 en heet The Magic of Oz Collection en is te koop bij 't Bezige Bijtje.

Maak de kaart na / Case the card

Dit is wel een heel makkelijke manier om snel een kaartje te maken. De bedoeling is dat je het kaartje van de challenge namaakt en er evt. een eigen draai aan geeft.
Het papier is van Graphic 45. Ik heb mijn Zutter gebruikt om gaatjes in het tekstpapier te maken. Het kant heb ik in een candy gewonnen. Het blauwe lint is uit eigen voorraad en het stempeltje is van Different Colors.
Als ik naar buiten kijk zie ik dat het best wel onstuimig weer is. Dus dat wordt een ochtendje kaartjes maken (met wat huishouden er tussendoor) en vanmiddag ben ik tennissen (gelukkig in de hal).
Ik wens iedereen een fijne maandag!

taart / sugar pie

Dit lieve beertje is van Crissy Armstrong van Whimsy Stamps en ik heb hem met copics gekleurd, de randjes gedaan met brushed corduroy van Tim Holtz en daarna verhoogd opgeplakt op een floral Shapeability van Spellbinders, die ik ook bewerkt heb met brushed corduroy. Het gestippelde papier is de Dots & Stripes lijn van Echo Park en het gestreepte papier is uit de voorraad, evenals het papier van de Doohickey vlaggetjes, die ik stuk voor stuk vastgeknoopt heb aan een baker's twine lijn. Het geblokte lintje heb ik gewonnen bij Margo. Bijna alle spullen komen bij 't Bezige Bijtje vandaan.

This cute bear is Crissy Armstrong's from Whimsy Stamps and I coloured it with copics, distressed with Tim Holtz' brushed corduroy, put it up with foam pads at a floral Spellbinders' Shapeability, which I also distressed. The dotted paper is Echo Park's Dots & Stripes, the striped one is from my stash as is the paper of the banner, which I tightened one by one at a baker's twine line. The checkam ribbon is won at Margo's.

Bubble, bubble, bubble

Het is weer tijd voor een nieuwe challenge bij Fairy Fun Fridays. Ditmaal is Dorte onze gastvrouw en zij heeft gekozen voor Sugar and Spice and Everything Nice. Dit is een beetje lastig te vertalen, maar zolang het maar lief en vrouwelijk/meisjesachtig is, is het goed. Ik heb Bath 'n' bubbling Gilli gebruikt. Ik vind haar zo leuk terwijl ze zo lekker in haar bubbelbadje ligt te genieten. Ik heb haar uitgestanst met scalloped squares van nestabilities en ik heb er een lint doorheen geregen wat ik bovenin met een strik samengebonden heb. Eraan een tag met stempel van JustRite. Onder de afbeelding een stuk cardstock dat ik heb geëmbost met de bubble mal van Cuttlebug. Verder nog een randponsvan Fiskars gebruikt en webachtig lint. Onderaan een roosjesarrangement met blaadjes van een McGill pons.

Time again for a new challenge at Fairy Fun Fridays. This time Dorte is our hostess and she has chosen Sugar and Spice and Everything Nice. I have used Bath 'n' bubbling Gilli. I love her so when she is laying in her bubblebath. I used nestabilities scalloped squares and put my ribbon through which I finished with a bow on top. The tag with sentiment is JustRite. Underneath the image is cardstock treated with the Cuttlebug's bubble folder. I also used a Fiskars' border punch and some ribbon. At the bottom I made a rose arrangement with leaves from a McGill punch.

Jarige Kas - the birthday boy

Dit is een kaartje voor Kas, de kleinzoon van vrienden, die binnenkort 4 jaar wordt. De digi is van Dulemba, gestanst met een nestability en gekleurd met copics. Het papier is van K&Company en vond ik wel vrolijk voor een kinderkaart. Op de vlag (gemaakt met een Doohickey) heb ik zijn naam gemaakt met een Quickutz alfabet. Ik heb er bakers twine doorheen geregen. Verder nog 3 knoopjes met oranje garen erdoor geknoopt.

This card is for Kas, the grandson of friends, and being 4 soon. The digi is Dulemba's, cut with a nestability and coloured with copics. Pink Ribbon run

Vandaag zijn we op de fiets naar Breda geweest waar de bekende Singelloop werd gehouden. Onze dochter Femke liep voor het eerst mee (5 km) en we zijn zo trots op haar dat ze hem uitgelopen heeft. Wat een drukte in de stad, maar wel erg gezellig. Op een terrasje met een orkestje er voor hebben we lekker zitten lunchen en daarna weer een uurtje terug op de fiets. Ik had dit kaartje speciaal voor Femke gemaakt met deze toepasselijke digi van Tellen Designs. Eronder heb ik de filmstrip van Tim Holtz gebruikt, die ik gedistressed had met TH black soot. Voor het metallic papier heb ik een Martha Stewart pons gebruikt. De ster is JustRite van Spellbinders en de tekst heb ik zelf geschreven. Nog een roze strik erop en het is écht een kaartje voor deze Pink Ribbon maand!

Today we have been to Breda, a city in our neighbourhood where a special run was held. Our daughter Femke participated for the first time and we are so proud she succeeded in running it out. There were a lot of people, also due to the great weather. I made this card with this appropriate digi from Tellen Designs especially for Femke. I put a Tim Holtz filmstrip beneath the digi and distressed it with black soot. The borders of the metallic paper are from a Martha Stewart punch. The star is from Spellbinders' JustRite and the sentiment is handwritten. I finished with a pink ribbon, so suitable in this Pink Ribbon month!

Dit is de binnenkant. Deze ster is met een Xcut stans gemaakt van hetzelfde metallic papier als op de voorkant (lijkt een beetje groenig op deze foto). Door het lintje is het een tag geworden. Erop 'Het Middenhuis' met een Quickutz alfabet. Dit is de naam van een geweldig restaurant hier in de buurt. Hier zou ze een etentje van ons krijgen als ze de Singelloop uit zou lopen. Dus dat wordt smullen!

This is the inside of the card. The star is made with an Xcut die out of the same metallic paper as at the front (although it seems a little bit green on the pic). I made a tag of it by using a ribbon. On the star is the name of a nice restaurant, where we promised her to go for dinner when she should run it out.

Een stevige knuffel - a firm hug

Bij Whimsy Stamps houdt team A een bloghop ter ere van de nieuwe digi's voor de maand oktober. Ga er eens kijken om al het moois te zien. Aangezien ik in team B zit, laat ik alleen een kaartje zien, gemaakt met een nieuwe digi van Lia Stampz. Ik vind het een geweldig plaatje en zij heeft er ook leuke teksten bij gemaakt, waarvan deze er een is. Ik heb voor de basiskaart de Grand Scalloped Squares gebruikt. Papier is een oude Basic Grey lijn (lemonade) en de swirls zijn van Joycrafts. Verder heb ik wat plakparels gebruikt, zelfs als knoopjes op de jas. Ik heb alles gedistressed met victorian velvet van Tim Holtz.

At Whimsy Stamps there is a bloghop with team A releasing the new October digi's. Just pop over to see all the beautiful things. As I am in team B, I only show you a card with a new digi from our designer Lia Stampz. I think this is a fantastic image and she also made matching sentiments. This is one of them. I used the Grand Scalloped Squares as a base. Papers are Basic Grey's Lemonade and swirls are Joycrafts. I also used some rhinestones, even as buttons on the coat. All is distressed with TH victorian velvet.

Voor eeuwig en altijd - Always and forever

Wat een prachtige nazomer hebben we toch! Ik ben vandaag vrij en straks gaan we lekker naar het strand om te lunchen en te wandelen.

Dit kaartje heb ik op verzoek gemaakt voor een bruidspaar dat gek is van katten. Ik heb hiervoor de schets van Sketch Saturday en de digi Kitty Butts van Meljen's gebruikt, die ik met copics heb ingekleurd. Ik heb hem uitgestanst met de Nestabilities Standard Circles met eronder een doily van Cheery Lynn Designs. Het papier is Stella & Rose van My Mind's Eye. De bloemen zijn met een Doohickey gemaakt en net als de digi beïnkt met wild honey van Tim Holtz. Hiermee heb ik ook de tekst gestempeld. Erop wat dew drops. De roosjes zijn ook bewerkt met de wild honey en ik heb ze wat Stickles gegeven voor een feestelijke uitstraling. De takjes zijn van Marianne Design. Als afwerking een hoekornamentje en wat kleine bloemetjes met een strasssteentje. Nu maar hopen dat de kaart in de smaak valt!

This is a commisioned card for a bridal couple loving cats. I used Sketch Saturday's sketch and Meljen's Kitty Butts and coloured with copics. I used Nestabilities Standard Circles to cut and put a Cheery Lynn doily underneath. Papers are My Mind's Eye's Stella & Rose. Flowers are made with Doohickey and just like the digi distressed with Tim Holtz' wild honey, which I also used to stamp the sentiment. I decorated with some dew drops. The roses are also distressed with wild honey and to make them somewhat festive I put Stickles on them. Leaves are Marianne Design. As finishing touch an ornament in the corner and some tiny flowers with rhinestones. Let's hope the bridal couple will love the card!

Whimsy Inspiration Challenges #8 Pink and Brown - DT card

Woensdag.....dat betekent een nieuwe challenge bij Whimsy Inspiration Challenges en deze keer is team B aan de beurt. Ik heb de swirl cupcake uit de Sweet Treat Set van Natalie (Moon Cookie Galery) gebruikt. Ik heb acrylverf als topping gebruikt met dotjes erop die met de bronzen Perlen pen zijn gemaakt. De bloem is ge3D-ed en een lintje met een tag van Quickutz aan een veiligheidsspeld is wat extra decoratie. De tekst is handgeschreven. De vlag is een heel setje van Pebbles wat in de prijs zat die ik heb gewonnen bij Scrapdelight. De bloemen, knoopjes en het lint zijn uit mijn voorraad.

Ik hoop dat mijn kaartje je inspiratie geeft om met onze challenge mee te doen!

Wednesday ....means a new challenge at Whimsy Inspiration Challenges and this time it's team B's turn. I used Natalie's (Moon Cookie Galery) swirl cupcake from her Sweet Treat Set. I used acrylic paint as the topping and with the Perlen pen I made some bronze dots. The flower is 3D and a small ribbon with a safety pin with a Quitkutz tag as extra decoration. Sentiment is handwritten and means congrats. The tootpick flag is from Pebbles (part of a prize won at Scrapdelight). Flowers, buttons and ribbon as finishing touch.

Fairy Fun Fridays #62 Pink and distressed - DT card

Deze keer is Deb onze challenge hostess. Zij houdt van een distressed uiterlijk en is ook dol op voornamelijk roze creaties. Dus wat zou het thema voor de komende 14 dagen zijn....je raadt het al-----

PINK AND DISTRESSED!
We kunnen haast niet wachten om naar jullie creaties te kunnen komen kijken!

Ik heb de schattige set van de Prima Ballerina's maar weer eens van stal gehaald. Al het papier met de Tim Holtz distresser gedistressed en de afbeelding met de tattered rose inktpad. Daaromheen pomponlint geplakt. Bloemen zijn Doohickey's en gedeeltelijk van vilt gemaakt. De swirl is een Joycrafts stans. Verder een randpons van Martha Stewart en nog een soort paperclip met een parel met daaraan een tekst van JustRite van Spellbinders. Verder nog her en der wat plaksteentjes.

Ik hoop dat jullie hem leuk vinden en ik zou het leuk vinden als je met onze challenge mee doet!

I digged out again the sweet Prima Ballerina set. Papers are distressed with Tim Holtz distresser and the image is distressed with tattered rose. Around it pompon ribbon. Flowers are Doohickey's and partly made of felt. Swirl is a Joycrafts die. I also used a Martha Stewart's border punch and a kind of paperclip with a pearl and a Spellbinders'Just Rite sentiment. I finished with some glitter stones.

Whimsy Inspirations DT card

Dit (verhuis)kaartje is gemaakt met een Whimsy digi. Hij heet Lovely Cottage en is van Natalie van MCG. Ga maar eens in de Whimsy shop kijken, want zij heeft nog veel meer leuke vogelhuisjes gemaakt. Het papier is van American Crafts. De vlaggetjes zijn met een Magnolia Doohickey gemaakt. Ik heb ze aan bakers twine geregen. Ditzelfde twine heb ik gebruikt om de sleutel aan te hangen. De tekst heb ik op de computer gemaakt, uitgestanst met nesties Blossom (evenals het vogelhuisje) en op een stukje jute geplakt. Gekleurd met copics.

This (removal) card is made with a Whimsy digi, it is called Lovely Cottage and is designed by Natalie (MCG). Have a look at the Whimsy shop for another lovely birdcages. Paper is American Crafts. The banners are Magnolia Doohickey and I put some baker's twine through. The same twine has been used for hanging the key. The sentiment is computer made, cut with nesties Blossom (as is the birdcage) and stuck on a piece of jute. Coloured with copics.

Midweek reminder Fairy Fun Friday

HEY Fairy Fun Friday Fans.......................even een herinnering om je te laten weten dat je nog 1 week hebt.....JAJA....NOG EEN WEEK om mee te doen met de Snips & Snails (als het maar mannelijk is) challenge!!!
Ik heb Lewis als Harley boy gebruikt, uitgestanst met Nestabilities Labels Seven en met copics gekleurd. Het papier is van de nieuwe Dots & Stripes lijn van Echo Park Paper en te verkrijgen bij 't Bezige Bijtje. Het lint is uit eigen voorraad en de sterren zijn gestanst met Just Rite Custom Dies. Op de onderste ster heb ik 'congrats' gestempeld, omdat het een verjaardagskaart is.

Ik heb de digi Birdie Friend van Crissy Armstrong gebruikt en heb haar met copics ingekleurd en met een nestability uitgestanst. De digitale tekst is van Raindrop Echo's serie Animal Companion sentiments en met dezelfde nestie uitgestanst. Het papier is van Docrafts en het kant uit eigen voorraad. De vlinders zijn met een dubbele Nellie Snellen pons gemaakt (ponsen + embossen), beïnkt met Tim Holtz vintage photo en daarna heb ik er glossy accents op gesmeerd.

I used Crissy Armstrong's digi Birdie Friend and coloured with copics and punched out with a nestability. The sentiment is Raindrop Echo's Animal Companion Sentiments and also punched with a nestie. Papers are Docrafts and the ribbon from my stash. The butterflies are made with a double Nellie Snellen punch (punch + emboss), inked with TH vintage photo and afterwards treated with glossy accents.

Kok Lewis / cook Lewis

SNIPS & SNAILS & PUPPY DOG TAILS
Deze keer is onze sprankelende en getalenteerde Corry de gastvrouw en toen ik deze opdracht zag, had ik even geen idee wat ermee werd bedoeld. De titel is dan ook niet echt te vertalen, maar wat wordt er nu precies mee bedoeld?
Alles wat maar mannelijk is. Voor een man. Vor een jongen. Voor een puppy, zo lang als het maar mannelijk is. Mannelijke kleuren, mannelijke afbeelding, mannelijk design...maak een kaart in de vorm van een vis of een LO met een mannelijk thema. Maakt niet uit wat het is, zolang het maar iets mannelijks heeft!
Ik heb Lewis als kok gebruikt uit Roberta's laatste release. Het kaartje is voor vrienden die 40 jaar getrouwd zijn en dit gaan we zondag vieren met een lunch in een restaurant. Binnenin heb ik een soort cadeaubon gemaakt waarop staat dat wij hen een diner voor met z'n viertjes aanbieden (daarom heb ik kok Lewis op de voorkant gebruikt. Heb je trouwens z'n ceintuur van baker's twine gezien?).
Papier is de nieuwe lijn Dots & Stripes van Echo Park Paper (verkrijgbaar bij 't Bezige Bijtje), nesties Labels 7, ricrac en lint van Really Reasonable Ribbons, een hartvormige doily, bloem uit eigen voorraad en de stempel met 40 erop is een freebie van Bluebirdsflat, waarvoor mijn hartelijke dank. Alles is beïnkt met Tim Holtz vintage photo.
Vanaf nu zijn onze challenges weer om de week en zoals van Prairie Fairy gewend, zijn er weer prachtige prijzen te winnen!

Our lovely, talented Corry is our host.....otherwise, the title of the challenge already told you (if you know her a bit).
So what exactly does that mean?
Anything Masculine. For a man. For a boy. For a puppy, as long as it's male. Masculine colors, masculine image, masculine design.....make a fish shaped card or masculine themed scrapbook layout! Whatever it is, make sure it has some sort of masculine something!
I used Cook Lewis from Roberta's latest release. This card is for our friend's 40th wedding anniversary, which we are going to celebrate with a lunch in a restaurant next Sunday. At the inside I made a kind of giftcard with our present to them: a dinner with 4 (that's why I picked Lewis for the front. Did you notice the baker's twine belt around his apron?).
Papers are Echo Park Paper's new line Dots & Stripes, nesties Labels 7, ricrac and sheer looped trim from Really Reasonable Ribbons, a heartshaped doily lace, the 40 sentiment is a freebie at Bluebirdsflats (thanks for that), flower from my stash, and all distressed with TH vintage photo.
From now on we are challenging biweekly again and as always there are fab prizes to be won!!

Ik heb een kaart gemaakt met golfer Lewis, één van de afbeeldingen uit dit super pakket. Ik heb zijn blouse en pet gepaperpieced en de rest met copics gekleurd. Het mooie papier is Oliver van Basic Grey en de tekst is handgeschreven. De knoopjes zijn uit eigen voorraad, evenals het pompon lint. De golfbal heb ik met de Perlen Pen gemaakt. De wolken heb ik gemaakt met een stempel van Imaginisce, maar ik zie dat ik daar nog veel mee moet oefenen.

I made a card with golfer Lewis, one of the images from this super pack. I paperpieced his blouse and cap and coloured with copics. The beautiful papers are Basic Grey's Oliver and the sentiment is handwritten. Buttons are from my stack, as is the pompon ribbon. I made the golf ball with the Perlen Pen. The clouds are an Imaginisce stamp, but I see I must still practice a lot.
